WASHINGTON – A child and two adults have reportedly been apprehended by police after gunfire broke out early on Friday morning in downtown Washington, DC, close to the National Mall and the White House.


Around 1:15 a.m., shots were heard in the vicinity of 1600 Constitution Avenue.

Officers claim they found a gun in the vicinity and found three empty automobiles that had been shot at.


According to the police, one kid, two adults, and a firearm were all taken into custody.


There were no injuries recorded.
